Exercise makes the mind and body healthy. It helps in reducing the levels of stress to a great extent. There are several reasons for this which are summed up below
• Exercise tends to develop a healthy body and healthy mind which is responsible for reducing the stress susceptibility.
• Exercise also helps in releasing the harmful chemicals stored in our body and brain.
• It allows the body to warm up, flex the muscles and tissues and hence relive the stress.
• Exercise also provides distractions from stressors.
Exercise increases the blood circulation in the body, especially the brain. It releases various hormones and allows the stimulation of the nervous system. Exercise also induces a positive feeling. Almost all kinds of exercises relax the muscles and tissues in the body which are responsible for stress related feelings and disorders like headaches. The headache caused by stress normally stars from the back of the neck and gets transferred to the back of the head which can be very uncomfortable. Deep breathing along with brisk exercise can help reduce the amount of headache. A one minute exercise is enough to provide relaxation from such disorders. Therefore, a fifteen minute exercise can do wonders and is not a big thing to do as well. Even playing games which involve physical exertion are helpful in relieving of stress related disorders. Exercise is also very competitive and it compels you to keep pushing yourself harder. Exercise takes your mind off stress related problems and definitely makes you feel lighter about them.
