Stress Management at Work

Stress at work is one of the most widespread causes of stress. In order to combat this stress, the employers need to create a stress free environment for their employees and recognize the areas which create problems. As a result of stress in the work place, the productivity of the employees gets reduced and the pressures of the management increase which in many cases, causes illness in people. The performance of the mind is adversely affected which includes lowering in concentration, learning and work performance. Another effect of the stress at the workplace is the litigation of the workers and organizations. A lot of time is also spent in handling these problems which again affects the productivity of the organization. Therefore, stress results in both economic and financial problems to organizations which is the chief reason it should be reduced as much as possible. Then most important way of reducing the stress is by creating a distance between self and the cause of the stress. The employees can develop new habits which will allow them to detach themselves from their stressors and pressures. However, it is very difficult to manage these stresses inn the busy world today. We cannot completely remove the stresses. But what we can do is to reduce our exposure to these stressors and change the way we react to them.

All the techniques related to stress reduction are based on common principles. It is true that one cannot change or remove the situations which result in stress.
